Q: I’m a female and I heard that it was safer for girls to sleep with panties on. Tru or not?
A: I mean, unless you’re camping or sleeping outside, I’d say it’s pretty unlikely that something would be trying to crawl into your vagina while you sleep—meaning that it’s perfectly safe to sleep without underwear. In fact, it’s a good idea to sleep without
underwear a few times a week just to let your vagina air out, and help prevent yeast infections. Yeast infections can be brought on by too much time spent in tight, non-cotton underwear or clothing (yeast likes hot, moist environments). At times when you do wear underwear to bed, wear loose cotton panties, and a couple nights a week, try going comando, it is completely safe!
